   Since you run it on a proprietary OS with a master that I would trust to intentionally sabotage the stability of libreoffice (not so much that there's any solid evidence of course).
   
   Even on windows, libreoffice calc manages to crash less than excel even so.
   
   
   If you just want to do spreadsheets, I recommend Gnumeric - it's handles numbers far more accurately even.
