@NEETzsche @sjw @cyberanathema @Hibiki I'm so very sorry to have hurt your feels with my choice of referring to them with a glib dismissal. This is definitely the important part, not that for every report of actual CP on Pawoo, there are a thousand reports by screaming lunatics that someone drew Sailor Moon's tits. I mean, I thought that was the relevant part, but you've shown me the light. It doesn't matter that Pawoo gets flooded with reports over hentai by people that write "CSAM" or "child pornography" and then they have to click and 99% of the time it's just a drawing, and that this means actual CP stays up longer: what really matters is that I don't insult the anti-drawings brigade.
I mean, sure, they may be trying to actually misrepresent the images, and this may make admins confused, and this may have resulted in a shit-ton of problems on FSE so I can only imagine what kind of issue it creates for Pawoo, but calling them "anti-drawings" (even when it's clear in context that it is meant as a casual write-off, indicating that I do not take them seriously rather than indicating that I think they actually believe all drawings to be haram) is inexcusable behavior on my part. There is literally no other reason to lie in reports than to obliterate the signal-to-noise ratio, but I sure as hell wouldn't want to insult these fine, upstanding dickheads, so I'll do my best to rectify it.
Let me rephrase by turning a glib dismissal like "anti-drawings people" into something that is completely accurate per Reddit's Rules of Internet Parliamentary Procedure: every single person that calls loli hentai "CP" or "CSAM" is an actual pedophile that actively molests children (not in Minecraft).

@sjw @Hibiki I talked to the baraag guy, not the Pawoo guy, I *think*. I am not certain that I didn't confuse the two or maybe I *did* talk to the Pawoo guy and I don't remember it.
I'm pretty sure that whatever CP is happening on Pawoo is from pedos posting CP on Pawoo instead of from feds raiding Pawoo unless someone has some evidence otherwise. Pawoo's run by a Japanese company that does not respond quite so quickly to reports, and sometimes doesn't respond at all, but that particular clique runs through everywhere they can; they got banned from FSE, they stayed on hentai.baby while it was up, and they keep respawning on Pawoo or wxw or wherever because the admins speak foreign moon letters and aren't familiar with Anglosphere pedophile slang. It's always the same people with the same names, the same type of bio, the same "dm for wickr" in their bio, the same everything. If this is run by the feds then the feds have been very persistent.

@Hibiki I can't tell if you're meming or not. Russell is a person. He's the guy who started pawoo. Not sure if he still works for pixiv but it'd make sense if he left as pawoo was always kind of his project.
@p has talked to him before and he says he's a pretty cool guy.

This is about pawoo, I was thinking about defederating from them, but that's hard to do cause it's used by a lot of Japanese artists. For now warning people should be enough.
Pawoo used to be pixiv's mastodon instance, but for some reason they got tired of it and sold it to some shady Japanese company called Russell.
Now the largest fedi instance is an unmoderated shithole full of pedo coomers. There's only one lazy guy that moderates the instance every once in a while.
The place also got plagued with feds running a sting operation spamming links to alleged CP, frequently they also post said links with 3DCG images.
Those links will install malware to log the IP and information from anybody that clicks them to send it to feds.
This has the potential to get you in deep shit.
Please be extremely careful about any sus links coming from pawoo.
If you happen to see one of them or you get a DM from them report it immediately and don't lick it for any reason ever.

Not exactly, they frequently come with 3DCG or even 2d images, so it's not explicit as you might imagine.
Also there's always the possibility of clicking it by accident from a DM on mobile or just being :retard: and clicking it just because.
