     @helene @tost my only issue with it is the executionpolicy that is by default restricted, so when u have to carry stuff in an USB and then execute in several foreign pcs u need to modify it in each one..
     
     i know there's ps2exe but i have not tried it: https://github.com/MScholtes/PS2EXE
     
     the other way around is to make a .bat file which only purpose is to bypass the policy and exec the .ps1 file
     
     ah! and by double click ps1 files don't execute, u need to change that also

     @aliss @tost some people encode their scripts in base64 and write a small command in a batch file to have them execute, all self-contained like that
     used for malware too

     @tost @helene but damn is powershell quirky and damn is batch/cmd files extremely quirky, annoying and even more limiting than POSIX shell (i didn't know such a thing was possible) and working within the limitations makes me wanna go: asdhfkdlsgsjhfkdglskjfdghlksdfg

     @aliss @tost i like the dotnet interop, the fact that you can interact with everything of the OS in it and native apps very well too, which is not a simple task considering the Windows ecosystem
     
     you can actually write anything and everything in powershell and i like that
     
     but it feels more like a perl for windows based on dotnet than a shell scripting language, i'd say
