the National (Justice) Guard should detain Governor Mike DeWine, Congressman Bill Johnson, and Alan Shaw (President of Norfolk Southern) and quarantine them in a house/motel in East Palestine until this matter is satisfactorily resolved.

@cyberanathema @haberdasher That's retarded. The president IS a role in itself, far more important than volunteering.

@cyberanathema Anybody who truly wants to 'represent the people' should be willing to 'take one for the team' during times of severe duress.
Really easy to de-prioritize the suffering of your citizenry/electorate when you'e safely ensconced from their suffering.

@haberdasher It just reminds me of this movie I saw where this actual legit pandemic sweeps through the land and the president at the time goes to volunteer at a hospital to show the people 1) he's committed to this cause 2) restate just how severe it is to the general public.
That's a man that's a leader. "I'm doing this, however if you are unable the best thing you can do is stay at home."

@cyberanathema Well, I was thinking more in terms of 'getting shit done' for the people of East Palestine. Cuz, like, if there's no health risks, then surely these men have no issues with taking up temporary residence in East Palestine? Right? Show of solidarity and all that.
However, if they're unwilling to do so voluntarily -- what's the worry, big guy(s)? Maybe you suddenly have more motivation to use the political power you have to 'grease the wheels' etc etc?

@haberdasher credit where it's due, china did something similar with provincial officials in an area with a severe chemical leak. They had to stay within 10mi of the disaster area for 90 days (minimum estimated time for symptoms of exposure to appear)

@haberdasher as far as I'm aware couldn't the land be rendered uninhabitable for a long time?
