Ugh. I keep running out of space on my tiny one-person instance.

Could Mastodon use a space-bounded LRU cache system? It feels like it just keeps caching while storage space is still available.

    Am I missing something?

And, yes, I am aware you can push things to S3. That's not the question that I'm asking.

@Gargron that seems to have done it. RTFM, apparently!

@baskin This was really helpful, thanks! I've been trying to run `tootctl media remove` from a cronjob, and the rbenv keeps tripping me up. The rest of these seem very useful, too!

@evan You can cleanup several stuff. We use this script running everyday once

      https://paste.opensuse.org/pastes/365542654a1e

And this one once per week to compress media.

@dbb @Gargron YES! It's been super manageable, very slow growth now.

@evan Did this reduce your disk usage once set, or did it just stop it from growing?

I set mine to 3 days and I'm not seeing disk usage go down, but maybe it doesn't clean this up automatically?

@dbb @Gargron I think you have to run the media cleanup scripts on a regular basis
