     @clacke I didn't realise he had 3 Grammy's now. Quite an amazing life he's had. Thanks for the info.

     I recently heard Jimmy's health isn't doing well and he's refused any more hospital treatment. At 98 l guess he'd prefer to be at home. Sending him best wishes!

     @methoddan Yeah that's why this song popped into my head.
     
     Lots of people are saying great things about him that maybe they should have said sooner. On the other hand I love that they're doing it while he still has a chance to see it.

     Yes, they should. He wasn't a great President (too immersed in the details, which is NOT what the job is about); but his post White House work has been awesome. I'd think that even political opponents would have acknowledged this by now.

     @clacke @methoddan have also listened to "Jimmy Carter" many times, never knowing (and being too lazy to look up) what Grammy, Gordy, and Geordie refer to. Maybe because of that I was never 100% certain whether it was a homage, or some kind of obscure satire. In any case, definitely one of the catchiest free culture tunes.

     p.s. that track was the very first thing that popped into my head upon seeing a headline about the person's health. All the best to Jimmy, friends, family.
