I've seen "Thanos did nothing wrong", I've seen "Griffith did nothing wrong", but nothing compared to seeing "The Drejj did nothing wrong", i.e. the aliens from Titan AE who *blow up the entire Earth.* (Re-upload since I wanted to add alt-text)

Is it problematic that I'm writing a story where I'm trying to make the audience feel sympathetic toward a literally genocidal character? XD(not that I in any way shape or form endorse genocide)

My thoughts exactly. :)I'm also trying not to break my brain with the implications of this being a character who's based on my own personality. XD

I'm trying to decide if it's thematic brilliance or taking the central story idea of "bad guys may not be who they appear to be" too far. XD -

I should have studied more human SciFi, which would have warned me exactly about this. -

I've recently upgraded him to my favorite sci-fi author. ;)I enjoy Ray Bradbury's writing style more, but who knows what I'd think of Liu's, since I've only read translations. Also, while I love Bradbury's style, his actual plots aren't quite as fascinating as Liu's.

(oh, in case it's not clear, I use the Chinese name ordering system with Liu Cixin, putting his family name first. Generally you'll find English translations of his work under "Cixin Liu".)clacke likes this. -

The only scenes where the characters had a soul was in the revolution chapters, otherwise they were flat as paper, everything was done before, and the end is just pure magic with sophons that can basically do anything, really did not like it.

That's standard in most asian countries, and in Norway for some reason, another help with chinese names is that most of them has two syllables in the first name and one in the surename
