   Approach with kindness and just ask how they are, and if there's anything that they might want or need from you?

     happened yesterday. My girlfriend called 92 yr old lady friend of ours. She didn't pick up, nor call back. Turns out she had fallen in her living room. She wasn't hurt badly, but she couldn't get up and go get the phone. We saw her last night and she is using a walker now.

     @Mrfunkedude Dealing with this from the far side. Started getting text msgs yesterday because I hadn't posted a #Wordle finish in a few days. It's amazing how much the little stuff counts.

     I would add to this, depending on the friend... sometimes instead of asking what you can: offer specifics.

     I know in the depths of my depression it's so hard to articulate what I want and need. I don't feel worthy or deserving of it. But friends who offer to spend some time, or send some $ for takeway, etc... specific things can cut through that depression fog so much better than vague "how can I help?"

     @Mrfunkedude also, if you are texting someone you haven’t talk to lately, and they aren’t replying, and that’s unusual, maybe call them. When my brother died I couldn’t reply to any text messages, or even see the phone number they were coming from, because I didn’t have his phone password. I had to wait for people to call so I could answer and tell them what happened.
