Seriously critically evaluating what my "use case" for fedi even is, as I'm sort of only interested in online stuff as a bridge to not-online stuff.
Probably can't afford the timesuck otherwise, which is roughly the same conclusion I came to twice before.
Anyway, happy Thursday.

I do that often. It sometimes feels like a revolving door of the same 3 conversations.

The Leaf punching his neighbor and then putting on multiple sweaters was pretty valuable.
But generally speaking, it's probably sensible to treat all online interaction like you would treat random pub acquaintances. Fun, but don't put your heart in it, because at the end of the day, it's just a bunch or random retards you don't really know.

It's entertainment, and it's mostly what you make of it.
If it's not fun, consider taking a break, and the end game is the same for most things. It ain't looking bright from my perspective, best not to stare it for too long.

The brutal fact of the matter is...there is none. For most, fedi is a release or cope with real life stressors. Nothing of value is often produced...realistically I only really see ppl tear each other down.
Time waster.

@IgnorantHussy
I just don't know... what the endgame is for me on here, I guess. I could keep my little instance around for years, and all that'd come of that is a few more followers and the same few - admittedly enjoyable - conversations with people who will only ever be a random avatar to me.
Not sure of the value in that.
