     @Jessica@fedi.absturztau.be thats was a bug in frontend and only really worked when the emoji is also present on your instance, otherwise it would just not send the emoji reaction (but frontend would show it like that). you never really could react with emojis from other instances.

     @puniko I used to be able to react using other instance's reactions if they were there, it just greys out now

     @Jessica@fedi.absturztau.be no it actually doesn't. shortcodes might be different. the emoji might be different. there is no way to tell easily, that the reaction from another instance is also available on your instance.
