     @puniko Stimmt. Bei dem Inkompatibilitätschaos von PHP (da sind schon 32- und 64-Bit-Variante derselben Version inkompatibel) wundert mich nicht, dass man lieber bei was altem bleibt, das wenigstens halbwegs funktioniert. Bei Nextcloud geht z.B. nichts mehr, wenn man auf 8.2(.1) aktualisiert, mit 32 Bit gab's zuletzt auch ordentlich Probleme.

     @Mort@social.tchncs.de ne, 7 hat massiv aufgeräumt und sehr viel zeug vereinheitlicht. darum sind dann auch tonnenweise sachen zu bruch gegangen.

     @puniko Gut möglich, da kenne ich mich nicht im Detail aus. War da nicht was, dass 5 so inkompatibel mit 4 war, dass fast alle erstmal dort blieben, und 7 war dann wieder größtenteils mit 4 kompatibel?

     @puniko@absturztau.be Ah, OK. Trotzdem verstehe ich nicht ganz, warum die nicht wenigstens innerhalb einer Major-Version abwärtskompatibel bleiben können.
