    @matt That's why you don't use permissive pushover licenses or do "open source".

    You should use the GPLv3-or-later or AGPLv3-or-later, as those licenses are much better written and cover almost everything MIT expat has missed.

        Here is a copy of the MIT license. One of the well-known open source licenses. It is, effectively, the only license that I’ve used for software I wrote or contributed in the last 10 years:

      Open Source only works if the licenses that it is based on provide developers protection against lawsuits, including SLAPP suits. In this case its been made clear that they do not, at least in the UK, which should be incredibly frightening to all OSS devs.
