Sexy Moon (moon@shitposter.club)'s status on Saturday, 11-Feb-2023 10:33:39 JST Sexy Moon a lot of the assumptions behind self driving cars are implicitly or explicitly based around the cars sending telemetry data so other cars can make decisions, which if you're a computer security person and think about that for a second realize how utterly dangerous and unworkable that is.
I've looked into this and the car telemetry thing is based around a centralized CA system that tracks all cars at all times.-

I'd be okay with self-driving cars if they're autonomous, but if they're sending and receiving data to operate, it's not really my car anymore -- it belongd to whoever is feeding it information.
