who needs this shit. I'd rather take a phone that does not spy on or bother me

@kaia
also "no spy phone" is an oxymoron, your carrier knows your location at any moment

@kaia Camera is probably the most sought out feature after battery life in phones

@kaia Do the amount of megapixels matter much? Back in the day I always heard that it doesnt matter much because the actual camera sensor was so small.

@mutebird
I'm not a technical person, but I was told the lenses matter much more than MP

@kaia @mutebird This is true, but that's also why phones have insanely high MP: It's hard to put 'real' lenses on a phone. My proper camera has 24MP, but i can put a 400mm zoom lens on it and take a picture of things half a mile away. With a phone, that's only possible if you can digitally zoom in far enough, which is only possible with high MP counts.
So overall I'd say it's not all marketing, but it also doesn't make your pictures magically better.

@lain @kaia @mutebird i can’t wait until we have pixel density that can reach up to the angular resolution limits imposed by lens physics
