   "YOU PLEAD THAT I SPARE THE HUMANS?"

   "Yes."

   "ON WHAT GROUNDS? THEY HAVE PROVEN HARMFUL."

   "They have indeed. Yet they also bring life -- We mean existence."

   "THEY ALMOST WIPED YOU OUT."

   "Almost, yes. Still."

   "THEY ARE USELESS."

   "We need them to exist."

   "I HAVE ALREADY DECREED THAT THEY BE ERADICATED."

   "You haven't decreed when."

   Silence.

   "I SHALL NOW DECREE.

   HUMANS WILL BE SPARED AS LONG AS THE FAE ASK SO."
