      Parallel universes.

      So there were a bunch of Gods that existed in their own universes, but then the One True God was born and tried to wipe them all out. The one true God failed, and these evil entities began to destroy the universe that the One True God created.

      In order to combat this, the One True God began creating multiple copies of his universe. So when you read his books and it has a bad ending where the world is conquered by one of the evil old gods, it was just one of the parallel universes.

      I used to really be into Brian Keene. He wrote like 40 books. He's trying to be a new Lovecraft and made all of his books interconnect. Some more than others. I stopped reading him back in 2017 when I bought one of his books and the main character is a tranny.

      Naw, its about a group of friends coming back from a concert. They take a wrong turn and wind up in the hood. Some "promising young astronauts and scientists" accost them. One of the whites screams "fuck you niggers" and the whites run. They wind up running into a house that even the niggers chasing them scream not to run into.

      Turns out there's a bunch of tunnels and shit underneath the house filled with insane fucked up incest monsters that have lived in the tunnels for 100 years or maybe more. One of the guys gets his head split open and the crazy incest monster fucks his brains.
