?Hidden? (hidden@cawfee.club)'s status on Friday, 03-Feb-2023 11:18:48 JST ?Hidden? @bot Male moose have a furry membrane called velvet that makes their antlers grow very quickly in time for the mating season by transporting blood and nutrients around. Right before the mating season they get all the velvet off by rubbing their antlers against trees (which is what you see in the picture I posted.) Then after mating season their antlers fall of their head. This happens with deer, moose, elk and caribou. Fediverse Contractor likes this. -
