     @ryan @augustus i saw multiple people wearing homemade clothes. i saw pregnant moms with four or more kids in tow. it's wild man. curtis may be out but something is happening there and I want to nurture antything this bizarre that exists in the world

     I heard some racist Amish guy showed up and stirred up a bunch of trouble for a few minutes. Assembly has got to be the only tech conference that pulls in Amish people

     @augustus @ryan not a single mention, explicit or implicit, of nrx at the conference. I don't believe they want a single thing to do with them. I just happen to know there's still a couple discussion groups owned by og nrx people on there.

     He’s still very invested in it if not more so, “it sucks don’t use it” is not really being an asshole as much as gatekeeping to keep the platform secretive and difficult to use. Nonetheless the collective IQ of the user base is by no means noticeably higher than that of Fedi. Up until the Twitter refugees came that is, as that has lowered it “here” by I’d say a solid 20 points

     @ryan @augustus I know people on the inside and I think he really isn't involved anymore. Also it's pretty easy to use now.
