   @superjosh @scrivolical @larand My hosting provider (OVH) includes DDoS protection on all their services but nothing is fail proof and if engineered right, it can cause downtime.

   Haven't been much of a problem, but it's rare a week that goes by and that at least one of the servers is under DDoS attack but it hasn't been causing any downtime but it can happen.

     @scrivolical @larand I’m guessing we’d go down. Not sure what mitigation measures @mastohost has in place.

     @larand @superjosh I was just thinking about this a little more and was wondering what would happen if appdot net received a similar ddos attack that mastodon social experienced?

     @larand Periodically things happen, especially during the migration floods and upgrades, but in those instances I just do real life things and don’t obsessively refresh — this isn’t the birdsite — and service returns to normal an hour or so later usually. I don’t even remark on it.
