     @ernmander Not sure I understand what you are saying. The way Mastodon federation works is, you follow remote users, those users start to federate with your server. That's it. If you don't follow any users, no federation will happen, that's is expected and everything is working as expected if that is what you are seeing.

     @downey from the inside of AudioMo.online the federation doesn’t seem to be federated. @mastohost maybe value for money, but a week later audiomo.online cant search mastodon

     @ernmander Have you asked them to search by the full URL, instead of the username. Example https://audiomo.online/@audiomo (including https://)

     If your account has not federated with the server they are on (meaning nobody in that server already follows you) your account will not show up for searches by username. That is a Mastodon known limitation.
