it's just wild to me that my understanding of the gays started out at "sexual attraction to the same sex" and has taken a hell of a rollercoaster ride through politics, present and generational trauma, autism, colonialism and genocide, and even the way I was treated due to fatphobia and now I've been spit out with an understanding of being queer that the majority of society finds completely alien
