   it's just wild to me that my understanding of the gays started out at "sexual attraction to the same sex" and has taken a hell of a rollercoaster ride through politics, present and generational trauma, autism, colonialism and genocide, and even the way I was treated due to fatphobia and now I've been spit out with an understanding of being queer that the majority of society finds completely alien

     @crybaby I mean, that's because one is an anodyne position built to appease us by ceding some ground to the merely interpersonal nature of queer desire, and the other is a political worldview based on following those desires and desire as such to its radical conclusion.
