Everyone: I’d like a dishwasher that washes well, is durable, and is trivial to use by everyone in the house

Manufactures: Why won’t users install our dishwasher smart phone app?

The fetishization of apps for things that don’t need apps reminds me of the pictures I’ve seen of advertising in the 50s where everything was “atomic!” I don’t want an atomic dishwasher app. I just want clean glasses.
