     @icscarythings @nosleep lmao it has nothing to do with ccp.
     
     talking to local chinese here in malaysia it's just not very easy for people of other races to spell/pronounce from romanized spelling, especially with no prior exposure to cn names, so it's easier to adopt a western name.
     
     for examle I know a guy named "chuan yun" but I still have no idea if I should spell it quan yun, quan yin, quan yuen, chuan yun, chuan yin, chuan yuen, etc.
