  I fully agree, Soapbox is better, for standard and power users, a demographic Mastodon doesn’t tailor to, imo. Additionally it straight up runs faster on worse hardware and has more features.
  Well, I don’t know the history, but yeah that does sound really petty.

  @alex @Gargron What miffs me is how his PR machine has made ~EVERYONE - especially n00bs - believe that the Fediverse = Mastodon. Saying "His PR machine" because if he can hire moderators, you can be pretty sure he has hired a PR firm.
  
  As for his personality, I recall there was one issue in the repo where he adamantly kept quiet (meaning a BIG 'No') about having a 'Setting to change the favicon for an instance'. That made me gauge his personality. He's stubborn as a kid and will NEVER admit his decisions are incorrect.
