Any writer who believes that an A.I. is going to replace them has a pretty low opinion of their own writing.

It read like a 3rd grader wrote it. Hilarious to roast it, since we didn’t have to worry about offending an actual child.

Jack Regan (jack_regan@mastodon.social)'s status on Thursday, 19-Jan-2023 09:53:13 JST Jack Regan @adamconover I think you might be overestimating the average person’s ability to recognize and appreciate good writing. felix (grayscale) 🐺 (gray17@mastodon.social)'s status on Friday, 20-Jan-2023 13:44:39 JST felix (grayscale) 🐺 @adamconover Computer translation is ok, not great, but it's destroying the human translator industry. I think the concern is not so much "AI might replace me with better writing". It's "most people don't really care about good writing, they'll use a fast/cheap option that's ok enough to fill the box". There won't be any junior tasks people can build a career with. The human industry narrows to just superstars. And we don't have UBI yet.
