     If I am understanding the option correctly, it means that it hides the photo that is generally shown in addition to the link preview image.
     It should help remove any double images in that case (but I haven't fully tested it yet).

     Yes, that was the purpose. When sharing a link, og data share an identical media. That's the reason it was removed. But we rolled back due to bad UX.
