   they are not the same!
   and this is how society shapes the future.

     yeah, but having such feelings doesn't accomplish much, taking action does
     you know how, in scifi stories, people have concerns about traveling back in time to the past and messing with the present? the present is that past's future! if you could mess with the past's future, you might as well use that influence to change the real future, without even having to travel back in time! without the benefit of hindsight either, but still...

     @lxo Just becaue you're on ActivityPub for one means you are speaking to the choir.
     I don't think anybody has a good feeling for the future at this point.
