     @lukas It's tied to other Cloudflare services with a free tier. The goal of this project is to attract people by offering managed fediverse hosting at a low price and then lock them in.

     This might look harmless and even beneficial to Fediverse because we're only entering the "embrace" phase. But this company has enough resources to carry out "extend" and "extinguish" too.

     @silverpill This is another option for running an #ActivityPub instance. I don't see how this is an EEE operation (assuming by EEE you mean embrace, extinguish, extend). As long as they don't run an end-user product (this is still very technical) I would see this as a boost rather than a hurdle for the #Fediverse.

     @shipp It doesn't. People may want to avoid sending DMs to Cloudflare users, for example. It could also be a signal that re-centralization of fediverse is not welcomed.
