   @wyssdaniel you can record a portion of the screen with Shift-Cmd-5, "Record selected portion".
   Not sure about best conversion to gif, but there's a number of online sites that do it.

     Again, I’m asking for help: which tool allows me to record a part of the screen of a Mac and create a gif out of the video? Any recommendation?
