Y'know, I still visit #Twitter to check my timeline (using filter:follows -filter:replies to avoid the algorithm and ads), even post occasionally, but somehow it doesn't feel like home anymore. This #hairyinstance is home now. #TwitterMigration

I feel exiled in and from both... This whole social media and platforms and stuff thing feels just strange, and in a ridiculous way: unreal. Something is missing in both that, given it existed or were to be invented, would make things feel far more complete and at ease. But simply mirroring Mordor, only with some righteous hobbit-cum-Galadriel twist, cannot be the answer. In fact, I want a real, a proper dreammachine, not a handful of algorithms that fake my dreams and tell me it's reality and socializing. GNU Too repeated this.
