    @apps in the fedilab app it would be great if a warning/block was assed when you write messages longer than permitted. Right now the number turns red but you can still press send but no message actually seem to get sent. So block sending or split message across multiple toots

      Yes, we let that behaviour because, some instances don't allow to know exactly the number of chars and we don't want to force a block while it could work.

      Oh that's interesting. What about writing "unknown" for those instances and let the user try to send. In all other cases you could block/warn the user.
