   EXT. A SUBURBAN NEIGHBORHOOD - MORNING

   It’s a beautiful morning, and the sun is shining overhead. Rogerick, a young man in his mid-twenties, wakes up with a hangover in a strange apartment, scattered with empty bottles and cans.

   He has no memory of his previous night’s activities, but he knows one thing for sure: he lost Papa Smurf, the valuable clay statue he was meant to protect.

   Rogerick's phone rings, interrupting his thoughts. He answers, and it's his best friend Shaggy.

   SHAGGY
   Hey man, you okay?

   ROGERICK
   No, man. I can't find Papa Smurf.

   SHAGGY
   What do you mean you can't find him? That thing's worth a fortune.

   ROGERICK
   I know, man. But it's gone. I must have lost it last night.

   SHAGGY
   Alright, I'll come over soon. Stay put.

   INT. APARTMENT - MORNING

   Shaggy arrives, and he can’t believe the mess Rogerick made. He rushes to his friend’s side, and they go on a wild hunt for Papa Smurf around town.

   EXT. A BENCH ON A PARK - DAY

   They find themselves on a bench at a park, devastated and hopeless, when an old man sitting next to them overhears their conversation.

   OLD MAN
   Excuse me, gentlemen, but did you say Papa Smurf?

   ROGERICK
   Yeah, we had one, but it's gone now.

   OLD MAN
   I might have seen it at the antique shop down the street.

   Shaggy and Rogerick’s eyes lit up, and they headed over to the shop. They’re greeted by the owner, who turns out to be a notorious smuggler.

   SMUGGLER
   So, you're looking for Papa Smurf, huh?

   ROGERICK
   Yeah, have you seen it?

   SMUGGLER
   I might have something that’ll interest you.

   The smuggler pulls out a clay statue, resembling Papa Smurf, but it’s clearly a fake.

   ROGERICK
   No, that's not it.

   SHAGGY
   I know what we're dealing with here.

   Shaggy pulls out a Magnifying glass, and examining the statue.

   SHAGGY (CONT'D)
   (this is), a fake!

   The smuggler's crew, who had been watching them from behind, suddenly surrounds them, and a chase ensues.

   INT. AN ABANDONED WAREHOUSE - DAY

   They end up in an abandoned warehouse, running from the smugglers, when Rogerick sees Papa Smurf on a shelf.

   ROGERICK
   There he is! Papa Smurf!

   They are reaching for it, when one of the smugglers shows up and grabs Rogerick.

   SMUGGLER
   Not so fast!

   THUD!

   A mysterious figure drops from the ceiling, taking down the smuggler. It's Scrappy-Doo, ready to rescue them.

   SCRAPPY-DOO
   I got you guys!

   The gang finally recovers Papa Smurf, and they all go home, reminiscing about the wild adventure they just had.

   INT. ROGERICK'S APARTMENT - NIGHT

   The credits role, and the tale ends with Shaggy and Rogerick celebrating with a few beers and a pizza, while Scrappy-Doo hangs out with his hero, Papa Smurf.

   FADE OUT.
