Great choice.
#RayBradbury is also my choice for yesterday, though I haven't managed to post it yet.
It would be nice if you were to add the threads hashtag, #BooksThatInfluencedYou, as well as an #AltText, so people can find it and everyone enjoy with us.
@ai6yr @ATLeagle Maybe, but I'm sure there are also intelligent young conservatives who are having to deal with the dissonance between reality and their party line.
They'll crack, eventually, and start huffing oil fumes like good republicans, as the dissonance is too great - but they're not there yet.
It wasn't that long ago that some old republican politicians tried unsuccessfully to rebrand the party to a "green conservatism". There is SOME awareness.
The reason we don't live in a post-scarcity world (where shelter and food and medicine are free for all) is not that our technology isn't up to it yet.
It's our ethics and morals.
I have a suspicion brewing about an overarching gayop involving some of the more intimate DMs allowing for people to play social games, e.g. trying to get closer to targets of value. Just a hunch, but I do see signs of this already becoming a thing. I’m just not quite sure how I can actually voice the actual breadth of my concerns yet.
It won’t be a political gayop but a social one, putting it shortly.
@killyourfm That's how my bass drum looks now.
2€ granite tile, rubber mat (feet under the plate as well), all held together by extra strong double-sided tape, hasn't failed me yet.
It's very heavy, but after a year of fighting with a wandering bass drum I'd say definitely worth the effort.
