For those waiting with baited breath, I've figured out how I injured my thumb.
It was attacked by a can opener.
The night before I awoke with pain, I had opened 3 cans using an old can opener which had some rust. I forced the cans open, which was stupid, but which released a lot of anger about American handing criminals weapons, and immunizing them to kidnap, rape, and murder us on whims, or the color of our skin, or us telling them we don't hate them.
Well, purely for science, I thought I'd try putting a little force on that crank and OOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWNONONONO. Have you ever heard a thumb scream?
Yeah. That was the culprit.
The offending can opener has been bathed in WD-40, and is fine now. Not so much my thumb, though it's getting better. I suspect I stretched a ligament, which is interfering with the tendon when I do that thing some of us can do with our topmost thumb joints - move them way back until they're almost at a right angle to the rest of the thumb. It doesn't otherwise hurt, though the thumb gets a little sore for a bit, if it goes past that point. The mechanism is not quite moving as designed yet.
It seems better daily, and doesn't interfere with typing, playing keyboards, or playing the guitar. Emptying the dishwasher has been not much fun, not for any of the big stuff, but for the angle at which I grab silverware from its container in the bottom rack. Unexpected ow.

Take note that @phanpy doesn't support composing native quote posts yet.
It's a lot more work than expected. And also just trying this out from Mastodon web.
And don't forget that the other project, a bitcoin wallet on a security device, is also in a functional state. (Though never tested on production bitcoin chain.) Though, it isn't sufficiently progressed for higher planned threat levels, yet.
It may not be the perfect solution for all cases, but it still has interesting properties and full control over firmware and software is possible. Although def. still in development and NOT prod- and user-ready yet.
I'm going to be offline for a while.
Might just be a few days, might be a few weeks, not sure yet.
It's not for any dreadful reasons.
There is no longer a vax mandate.
They ratified the WHO convention on pandemic response.
I guess we'll see how much love the populace has for these asshats. They haven't pulled the pin yet.
It's a stupid gambit for Liberals to mock Pierre for meeting with Canadian protestors. Their hubris will destroy them
BTW, I have not seen the followup poll yet.
It may be burired in my Home TL, or has not propagated yet at my time of reading.
