I recognize there is something to be said for ignorance and lack of education contributing to vulnerability to disinformation.
But here's the thing. A LOT of people in various marginalized groups are ALSO low-education and low-information, yet can still tell when someone is a shitheaded bully who should not be anyone's boss, let alone everyone's.
It's the same flaw as the "economic insecurity" excuse.
The media keeps talking to itself, asking why the media doesn't cover Trump's cognitive decline with the ferocity it covered Biden's.
It's like in all these years, they've learned nothing.
Supporters of Trump know he's been insane for years. They simply don't care. Because the permission he gives them to indulge their own dark impulses is far, far more pleasurable than picking a responsible president.
They will forgive him anything so long as it keeps validating their own obscenity.
Before going into this, I of course know that there has been an algorithm of some description in place but none of us really how it worked.
aakashg0 on Twitter posted a great thread about it (You should check it out if you haven't)
I shouldn't have my profile in a certain way to 'appeal' to the algo. I _should_ have fewer 'following' than 'followers'. I _should_ be engaging with both likes and RT's.
It's disheartening.
@Mrfunkedude Ah, your argument is close, but not quite sound!
The half-bee may be only half of an entire Bee - but the half-bee is its own entity, and it Wholly Be's.
It is the past-bee, was once Whole, that at the current moment in time must half not-be, since it is half Not Bee.
(Note: it is possible I need either more, or less, wine for this level of conversation. It's also not 3AM in a college dorm common room, so we're losing some ambience here)
