This is a plea for help.
My father-in-law is in palliative care. My wife is flying out to be with him. I'm broke and we need money.
If you can, please buy a book. If you can't please share so this will reach folks that can.
well, fedinauts. I’m reaching out to ask for help.
My grandmother is dealing with chronic venous insufficiency (likely a thrombus), and in Venezuela we don’t have a functioning healthcare system, so everything has to be paid out of pocket.
We’re currently raising about $200 for exams, medication & transport. Anything you can contribute would mean a lot to us.
If you can’t donate, sharing this also helps ❤️ thank you so much!
@NouranKhaledGh Nouran, you don’t have to do anything.
It’s not your job to placate every conspiracy theorist out there with a crackpot theory and more time than sense on their hands.
Please just concentrate on your studies and on staying safe.
I hope your family will be able to move South soon.
Are donations coming in? How much do you need to be able to move? Please let us know what you need and we will do our best to help.
My love to you, to Yousef (who I’m chatting with on Signal right now), and to your whole family.
💕
One time my mother and father were sleeping when my dad, who was prone to discussions and other shenanigans while asleep, sat bolt upright in bed and said "My leg!" while looking at mom.
Mom sat up and said "What's wrong?!?" while trying to feel his leg to see if she could help.
My father looked right at her and said "It's oriental!"
"OH GO BACK TO SLEEP, JIM!!!"
He did. Nothing was wrong and he had no memory of this event.
@baralheia sadly I can’t offer solid help.
My main thought: in that situation many doctors would likely diagnose burnout and my health insurance may actually pay for rehab.
Which means: this is as serious and real as a broken leg. And there are professional help options.
And no shame in taking them. Even if there’s no health insurance that puts down the money to prove it.
Regardless of that thought (which may completely miss the mark):
I wish you strength, whatever path you choose.
My husband and I are trans. My family is full of queer people.
Trump has explicitly and repeatedly promised to use the apparatus of the federal government to go after families like ours.
He'll be aided by a state government in #Indiana that has shown that it has the appetite to help.
My family is so terrified right now. We're making plans in case we have to flee to someplace safer.
