...you do know that sometimes people buy collectibles (like figures), because well, they're COLLECTIBLE and have an investment value? For example, I did really well during covid buying pokemon cards, having them graded, then reselling them.
Obviously not everything is going to be a winner in this regard (like Beanie Babies or the "black diamond" Disney VHS tape craze), but vintage toys and games especially for popular IPs will always have a market, as the available pool of product only shrinks as time goes on.
Conflating people who buy collectibles for investment value and the intention of some day reselling, with soyface dudes who literally "squee" over their wall of shitty funko pops and probably make crying reaction videos to the latest episode of Andor or She-Hulk is very disingenuous and makes you look like a little bitch who is just fishing for negative attention.
