   @tilde I believe their database has the field as "not null" and they've made shit up to avoid doing anything.

   In the past, pension eligibility age depended on gender, but that ceased to be the case at the end of 2019, before I had registered with them.

   I am begging @MastodonEngineering to attach a notice to their announcements about Mastodon (the server software) upgrades, saying that the post is targeted at instance admins, and that regular users don't have to do anything.

   In the replies for every release announcement you always find someone who (rightfully) assumes that the post is referring to the client application and asks for guidance on how to upgrade it...

   Engineers, stop assuming that everyone is on the same page as you and has the same knowledge about something as you (and I say this as someone who is also guilty of this)!

   @greatgodoffire 135mm is a good focal length to get started in AP. It is more forgiving and allows you to do reasonably long exposures without autoguiding. If your current EQ mount can track on the RA axis, I'd recommend you give this a try before buying anything.

   In AP, a good goto mount is probably the most important piece of gear to buy. With focal lengths ~200mm and above, autoguiding is required to get long sub-exposures without star trailing, and a goto mount is required for autoguiding. It also allows dithering (move the framing just a little bit between exposures) which helps significantly reduce fixed pattern noise from the camera sensor.

   Once you have a good mount, you can consider APO scopes in the 250-400mm focal length range like the WO Redcat 51 or the Askar FRA400 (I have the FRA400 and it is AMAZING).

   Except... Since I have bought the dect, I didn't feel the need to thinker with anything.

   In fact, and I know this sounds insane....
   Some games worked even better on the deck, then on my PC. GTA IV for example didn't have the drunk camera, that I did get on PC.

   @silverpill Ah right.. in that case, nothing unusual in the logs that I've seen yet. My experience of Federation getting "stuck" is only anecdotal, maybe I'm just perceiving things that way. If I happens again I'll make sure to check stdout before restarting anything.

   In terms of the media folder, it's gotten up to about 8.9Gb now. I feel like the growth is slowing down, but if it gets too close to 3/4 full I might change the pruning job to 15 days old instead of 30, see if that improves matters. I figure two weeks of post history is more than enough.
