The little maple is now a small square beam of ~6x6cm on the sawmill bed. Sawdust is on the grass.

   A whole bunch of nuts and bolts tightened down, many checks, some adjustments and then filling various fluids.

   Engine fired up well, needed some idle adjustment to stop the clutch from ringing, the blade guides were so far off they were sparking so that needed adjusting and then I cut a first test log.

   A little piece of spam maple from the garden got turned into a beam and wow, this is fun! It cut that little log like butter.

   The byproducts are firewood and sawdust (still need to hang a chicken food sack on the chute to capture that). No waste.

   Before I cut some proper logs I need to think what I actually need :)
