   Whenever in KL, the ‘chilli pan mee’ is usually a top 3 food item for me.

   A bowl of udon-like (but firmer) wheat noodles, with a topping of a homemade crunchy and very umami roasted chilli.

   Super Kitchen is one of the classic spots for it and this week they had a seasonal special: the noodles are coated with a salted egg yolk sauce.

   If you’ve ever had a mazesoba it’s almost exactly the same just the feature of this dish IS the chilli (you can’t make chilli pan mee without also making the homemade roasted chilli paste)
