Black cat resting her chin on the jeans between my legs as I lie back with my legs in a diamond shape.

   River Finnie
   c. 2010 - 2026

I don't know what to say. I'm devastated. I adopted River in 2015, expecting a cat, but got a Bombay without knowing what they'd be like. I described River as being a cross between a dog and toddler. She was named after River Tam from Firefly: badass, but not quite right. But she loved me with every minute of her long life, and I loved her. Goodbye, River.
