Short version: hoover settings, one looks like trousers. To me. Fuller description: Close-up of my old scratched well-used blue Miele Sonato hoover (vacuum cleaner), the hose off to one side, the plug cord twisted on the floor. There is a big On/Off button to one side and a big Retract Cord button on the other. Between them, a black dial with six setting options from Minimum to Maximum power. They are depicted with white pictograms for fitted carpet, wooden floor, rug, couch. And the lowest power setting, two long trouser legs tapering towards the shoes. Or not, actually, I realise - it’s curtains with tie-backs.
