A handcrafted wooden framed low rider cruiser bike on display at Shiny Side Up bike and car show. The frame was meticulously shaped by hand to be flat with sweeping curves instead of the more traditional angular assembly of tubes of regular bicycles.

   More photos from Shiny Side Up, an annual bicycle and car show in San Jose, CA.

   The show features a stunning collection of exotic and unusual bicycles from across Northern California. Most of the bikes are "cruiser bikes" that have low frame clearances and are meant for low and slow rolling. Enthusiasts frequently get together for social rides where it's more about the journey than the destination or how fast you get there.

   Most if not all of the bikes on display are rideable, but a good number are clearly intended to be art-bikes for display purposes only.
