   i think in the west we have more examples of female beauty ideals with relatively low neoteny. not all of them obviously but they exist. sharon stone was in the news recently and i remember when she was considered one of the most beautiful women in this scene. kim kardashan literally defined beauty standards for the past decade. a whole generation of men had their sexual awakening after seeing salma hayek in from dusk till dawn. i'm not saying any neoteny shouldn't have any sort of baring on beauty standards but i think it's indicative of an issue when that is the ONLY beauty standard for women
