   @TinJar th article misses one of the most powerful aspects of books are artifacts. That they can literally contain notes from the past to the future.

   For example

   The photo is a note written on the front cover of a book I have - the book is a documentation of a gathering 50 years after the battle of Gettysburg

   The note is from a soldier who fought at Gettysburg. Preserved in a book over 100 years old. The book it is written in is also a work that doesn’t translated well to digital due to maps
