Top half of view: An expanse of empty sky - not a bird, not a cloud in it. It is a sumptuous shade of darkening blue. In a thin line across the middle of the view, the city skyline. It is almost in silhouette with a streak of orange behind it where the sun has just set. Warm lights glow from building windows. We see a slim row of historic and modern buildings that jut up and down at different heights, like a wavelength. The waterfront library glows with light to the left. The former custom house turret and the cathedral clock tower stand out in the middle. The skyline is reflected in perfect inversion in the water.
