Journalists who continue to actively post on Musk's site are actively supporting the business of a man who a) hates honest journalism; b) amplifies and gives big money to a presidential candidate who hates them and will act on that if he's back in power; and c) wants to bring down democracy itself.
No rationalization at this point is legitimate.
4/ Tyler McBrien:
Seems to Merchan that it would just be used to provide explanation on why someone isn't here, but not the offense itself.
No other preliminary matters from either side.
"If there's nothing else, let's get the jury in," Justice Merchan says.
#Meson needs to learn that Linux is not an operating system unto itself.
No really, like 95% checks for host_machine.system() == 'linux' are wrong, unless you really care about *kernel* specifics like Linux kernel modules. Typically what you want to check is:
- is my compiler GCC / Clang? (use the Meson compiler object for that!)
- is my libc (a recent enough) glibc?
- does this system use a "freedesktop" GUI stack?
- etc etc
I’m talking about the underlying protocol, ActivityPub itself.
No matter what platform is implementing ActivityPub It has to make all of these connections and send all of these messages that just don’t scale particularly well.
It’s not about the language or how it’s written. It’s about the requirements of the system itself.
