Shot inside a cafe. To the right is the edge of some kind of oven on a low metal frame. A dial and bar shows how it is opened and set. The floor is made of deeply varnished and well worn wooden slats of various beige and black hues. Two metal steps with mesh grill anti-slip surfaces and a left hand set of banisters lead up to a landing and a sliding wooden door with three horizontal frames of gleaming glass. They are partly burned out by the reflected highlights of an unseen corner window. In the middle of the wall between the oven and the steps is an abstract painting depicting blocks of greens, turquoise and mustard yellows. There are some words at the top of the art which look like ‘Chiba Ohara’ followed by kanji and hiragana characters and a number 87.
