The MakersPlace Story It’s been a wild ride. From our humble beginnings in 2018, to the boom years starting in 2021 and the subsequent market downturn starting in 2023 and continuing into 2025. But unfortunately it is time for us to say goodbye. We can’t say enough about the amazing artists, collectors, industry luminaries and creative characters we have met along the way. We will take our friendships and memories with us and hope you will think positively of the way we helped this market grow and gave exposure to and helped build the careers of a countless number of talented artists. Although we won’t be here going forward, we are very bullish on the long term opportunity for digital art and its place in the overall art market and will continue to follow digital art’s growth and success. Please know that all NFTs minted on any MakersPlace contract will be safe and live on.

Five years ago I pointed out nearly all NFT's were going to break when the startup who minted them goes bust, causing people to get *extremely* mad at me until everyone concluded that I was correct.
