   It is unclear, however, if the #US move to deny or revoke #visas complies with that document, which outlines that foreign officials' attendance in NY shall not be impeded by the US "irrespective of the relations" between their respective governments & the US.

   In its reaction, the office of the PA president said the decision "stands in clear contradiction to #InternationalLaw & the #UN Headquarters Agreement, particularly since the State of Palestine is an observer member of the United Nations".

   If it helps, I really support this from a safety perspective:

   Someone with the kind of opinions expressed and enacted by the mod who is getting all this support from his fosstodon peers represents a real potential risk to Eldritch Café users who may visit the US.

   In a climate where the travel advisories now tell us that ESTAs must list birth sex (https://www.diplomatie.gouv.fr/fr/conseils-aux-voyageurs/conseils-par-pays-destination/etats-unis/#entree) but where travelling under documents that differ from the accompanying passport is clearly dubious, I don't think an instance that happily harbours someone so vocally anti-immigrant and anti-trans desrves to have have any federated access to servers that are friendly to trans people, or those who oppose borders, for that matter.

   I'm not seeking to snitckjacket anyone nor do I claim this has happened, but especially after seeing the receipts posted on lemmy, I'd not trust fosstodon not to become a source of vindictive snitching if aggravated.
