   I get that, yeah. But like the 80th guy to accuse me of being Mossad, you know, fuck it: fuck that guy, I'm a black Hebrew Israelite, I'm being paid by the Mossad, whatever. Last time he accused me of being "an 8200" sent to "demotivate" him. (I explained the bot to him in that thread, he argued with me about it, so here he is lying about the claim that he has no idea what is happening.) First time he lost his shit at me he insisted I was a fed, so I aggregated his posts by time of day, and the data suggested that he's not American and he maybe does this for a job: maybe he's the fed.    If I don't explain, people accuse me of lying, PopulistRight has attempted to get my account instance-blocked by pretending to be aggrieved because he wants to make it harder for places like Poast or FSE or whoever to operate; if I do explain, people accuse me of talking too much or complaining. Cost of being accused of dishonesty is higher than the cost of being accused of complaining. You don't want to read it, fine. You tagged me, I've never heard of you; easiest way to not hear from me is to not talk to me.
   
   Anyway, you know, fuck off with the "I got dogpiled once", man. You never had to scrub CP off the server and then have people follow you around for months, demanding that you define "child" and "pornography". Cops showed up and cuffed graf's mom, right, that's way different from mean words on the internet. You run a server and that happens and you either shut the server down or deal with the problem, you don't get to "tab out". (And if you shut the server down, then that becomes the first tactic people use to try to get you to stop running a server to host an instance, so shutting down doesn't just fuck you, it fucks the entire network: if a tactic works, people use it.) This isn't Twitter, man: these servers are here because a real person runs them, not because an army of gnomes in San Francisco gets paid to run the pipes as their day-job.
   
   I'm interested in who's doing that shit and why (I'd love to know who PopulistRight's boss is), and periodically dumping some information helps: people see that and they add information. Someone sees that David Rand guy running a scraper, he's a "hate speech" investigator, right, he claims to have done it by accident and then someone else notices David Rand in the NSF staff report on "externalizing the difficult responsibility of censorship", he's on one of those teams of researchers that addresses Congress.
